The Bann Special Shrimp salmon fly is one of the most successful shrimp patterns in the country. It originated in the Lower Bann region but is now widely used throughout Ireland. The Bann Special Shrimp is particularly good for moving stale fish. The original body pattern was floss but more people now use seals fur or more recently, Lite Brite
